WAVES, MUD & MOUNTAINS 2020

Waves Mud and Mountains is back! Following a superb turnout for our winter edition in November 2019, your favourite multi terrain obstacle race event is back for its spring outing on Saturday, April 25th 2020.

Our challenging circuit pits competitors against the legendary natural elements of the majestic Conwy Valley. Distance-wise, it’s around 8.5km, but this intense course will test your stamina, agility and mental strength to the max.

Once you’re over the line you can join us for some post-race R&R in our surf-side bar. There will be a complimentary beer or soft drink for every competitor and our usual buzzing post-race atmosphere!

Unless you know how to walk on water, you’re going to be running through our waves. That means pushing against the power of 6 million gallons of watery opposition over 300 metres to get to the other side of our lagoon.

This is where things get a bit messy. Once you’ve made it across our lagoon you can warm up with a short run through our forest trail to our obstacle field. You’ll be faced with a whole lot of mud and a variety of challenging obstacles.

Brace yourself. This is where you’re going to need a bit of grit to get you over the finish line. The last stage of your race is a run up the notoriously steep Dolgarrog Water Pipe incline. Just don’t look up. But rest assured you’ll enjoy looking down (once you’re at the top). It’s just a short and scenic downhill run back to the lagoon-side finish line. What a triumph!
